Given that it's the future, it's pretty rare that you have a unique ID. While cruising goodwill right before a major road trip I'd need starlink for... I noticed there were a ton of camera tripods just sitting there, unused and only $4 each. Then it hit me... I could put my starlink mini on that!

So I go home and search the internet, and of course somebody else beat me to designing a Starlink tripod mount. All good though, I got other things to do, so I figured I'd just print their design and use it... Except, well crud it's not right! The tripod mount didn't fit, and when downsized so it did fit, it wasn't even close to clearing the adapter on the Starlink mini it went into. Perhaps a change was made to the Starlink mini they sell... who knows what the reason was, it just didn't work. Add in that the thread-able portion the allen bolt would go into was unspported and weak... I knew a remix of the design with some BEEF was in order!

So I took their design, loaded it into OnShape, downsized the part that goes into the Starlink mini so it would fit, BEEF'd everything up and give it some height, and then sent it to print.

Here's the piece in action... and it works! Now you can mount your expensive Starlink setup right onto a simple Camera tripod you can score for $4 from Goodwill! The design is so Beefy as well... that I printed it in PLA as I was in a rush, took it on a 4000 mile road trip, and it's still good to go!
Here's the file on Makerworld so you can 3D print it yourself.
Don't have a 3D printer but want one for yourself? Email me and I'll print one for you. The price will be modest, AND I use made in America filament, so it's designed and printed in America with American materials.
